Is Jakarta truly ready to become a world-class City of Cinema? Madani, in collaboration with @jalindonesia, is organizing three discussion sessions under the theme Jakarta, City of Cinema. The outcomes of these sessions will be developed into a policy brief by Madani for the Jakarta Provincial Government. The first session will focus on the development of cinematic culture in Jakarta, emphasizing the role of audiences and the public in engaging with film. Mr. @miftabaco, Head of the Jakarta Department of Culture, will present Jakarta’s cultural agenda related to cinema. @hilmarfarid will discuss the Cultural Economy within the context of Indonesia’s film culture. Meanwhile, @losgilos will share ideas and experiences from the @festival.filmsantri in Surabaya.
