@kenduricinta is one of the Maiyah communities based in Jakarta. The seed of this Maiyah movement traces back to Padhangmbulan in Jombang. Kenduri Cinta was founded in the year 2000, following the 1998 Reformasi era, when Cak Nun, together with several literary and cultural figures — including Hamid Jabbar, Taufik Ismail, Jose Rizal Manua, and Sutardji Calzoum Bachri — initiated its birth at Taman Ismail Marzuki. As a people’s forum, Kenduri Cinta embraces an egalitarian concept that welcomes anyone to sit together in a circle. There are no barriers — everyone is equal. Participants are free to ask questions, respond, or even challenge the speakers’ ideas, creating a dynamic and engaging dialogue at every gathering.
