For the first time, @madanifilmfest collaborates with @klikfilm this year through the launch of the KlikFilm x Madani Fest channel. This special channel features a curated selection of KlikFilm’s collections under the Madani theme, available from October 6 to 24, 2025, on the KlikFilm platform. Audiences who are unable to visit Taman Ismail Marzuki or Metropole Jakarta in person can still experience the spirit of Madani Fest online.
The Madani-themed films include works by renowned directors such as Mohsen Makhmalbaf (“Gabbeh,” “The Silence”), Abbas Kiarostami (“Taste of Cherry,” “Through the Olive Trees”), Bahman Ghobadi (“A Time for Drunken Horses”), and Nuri Bilge Ceylan (“About Dry Grass”). Also featured are films from Southeast Asia (“Rehana,” “Berebut Jenazah”), from Africa’s Sahel region (“The Burdened,” “The Dam,” “Black Tea”), and from Saudi Arabia (“Hajjan,” “Norah”).
Don’t miss “No Other Land,” the 2025 Academy Award-winning documentary exposing the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and “The Seed of the Sacred Fig,” recipient of both the FIPRESCI Award and Jury Special Award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
